HAL RAMMEL
the lost data 7-inch singles

A reception celebrating the release of Hal Rammel’s LOST DATA 7-inch single series (Penumbra Music, 2006). In celebration of its tenth anniversary, Penumbra Music has released a limited edition series of three 7-inch singles featuring compositions for amplified palette by Hal Rammel. Each copy of each single, issued in an edition of 144, features original cover art by Hal Rammel, Lillian Rammel and Gina Litherland. The amplified palette, designed and built by Hal Rammel in 1991, was featured on Penumbra Music’s first CD release, ELSEWHERES, in 1996.
There will be a short performance at 7PM by Hal Rammel (amplified palette ) and John Corbett (turntables). Corbett will be manipulating the newly minted singles, offering a partial first audition to listeners.
On display for this evening only will be a series of recently constructed palettes and recent pinhole photography by Hal Rammel. The evening will take place in the midst of a group exhibition titled FULL FRONTAL: THE DIRTY, LEWD, EROTIC SHOW.
