Press Release

Ted Halkin is one of the most venerable and versatile figures in the history of Chicago art. Since he first exhibited as a member of the so-called Monster Roster artists of the early 1950s, Halkin has worked continuously to grow and change, and in his eighties he has remained a vibrant and active artist with a highly personal approach to abstraction. This unique exhibit will put his very earliest artworks – many long unseen – next to his very newest creations.
