In the Vault, CvsD presents The Lawnmower Video, starring Pope.L and the band Jon Waine.

This short film features the only known footage of Jon Waine, recorded live in concert circa 1981. Jon Waine started in 1975 as a duo of Brian McCormack and Bill Pope (Pope.L), when they were students at Montclair State University in New Jersey, and expanded to a quartet and eventually quintet, featuring Franc Palaia on drums, Ellen La Forge on bass, and Steve Davison on rhythm guitar. In the video, Pope.L's bigger-than-life stage persona is clearly visible, offset by the everydayness of a segment dedicated to Pope.L mowing the lawn of the house he shared with McCormack in East Orange, New Jersey.
